Safer Ageing Week Northern Ireland Polling

The inaugural Safer Ageing Week launches with the headline news that 2.7m older people across the UK have been affected by abuse.

This staggering figure, underlining the emerging epidemic of abuse of older people, stems from polling data commissioned by Hourglass and includes other concerning statistics.  We are calling on the Northern Ireland Executive to commit to a safer ageing approach, and work across departments to ensure that the views of older people are represented at key meetings.
